Gemtrue Arcus lab CVD vs HPHT Tester

The Arcus Lab DK9800 Diamond Tester is a professional instrument specifically designed to quickly and accurately distinguish CVD-grown diamonds from HPHT-grown diamonds.

Important Notice

The DK9800 Arcus is NOT a universal diamond tester.

It should only be used after confirming that the stone is a laboratory-grown diamond using an appropriate screening instrument such as:

  • DK10300 APEX

Once a laboratory-grown diamond has been identified, the DK9800 determines whether it was produced using the CVD or HPHT growth method.

With the increasing popularity of laboratory-grown diamonds, both CVD and HPHT diamonds are traded within the same category, although they may differ in market value. Therefore, reliable identification of the production method is essential.

Unlike conventional laboratory instruments, which are often large, expensive, and stationary, the Arcus Lab DK9800 features a compact pen-shaped design, making it ideal for jewelry stores, trade shows, laboratories, and mobile gemological applications.

LED Indicators

The tester provides instant results using colored LED indicators and an audible signal:

  • 🔵 Blue Light: CVD Diamond
  • 🟢 Green Light: HPHT Diamond
  • 🔴 Red Light: Ruby or Sapphire
  • 🟠 Orange Light: Metal Detected

This allows users to identify the material within seconds while reducing testing errors.
