Cerium oxide is a standard polishing agent; when used with a felt disc or felt wheel, it is the preferred choice for polishing quartz, agate, and opal.
It is also excellent for polishing glass.
- When used with a felt disc, it is ideal for polishing all types of quartz, agate, glass, and opal, as well as for removing scratches or various abrasions—including from car windshields.
- It is also used with a phenolic disc, which is perfect for polishing all types of quartz (amethyst, citrine, etc.) and opals.
- It is also used for polishing cabochons with a felt wheel (suitable for all types of quartz, agate, glass, and opal, and for removing scratches or various abrasions).
- It's ideal also for tumbler polishing!
